I’m Kate, the face behind Kate Bartle Photography. I’m a passionate wedding photographer based in the beautiful Lake District, Cumbria, and I feel incredibly fortunate to do something I genuinely love. For me, wedding photography is about so much more than simply taking beautiful pictures. It’s about capturing memories, emotions and those once-in-a-lifetime moments that tell the unique story of your special day. I pour my heart and soul into every wedding I photograph, taking the time to understand each couple, their personalities and what matters most to them. My aim is simple: to create a collection of natural, beautiful and timeless photographs that you’ll treasure for years to come. Now, let’s talk about being in front of the camera! I completely understand that having your photograph taken can feel a little daunting. Believe me, I’m not particularly comfortable on the other side of the lens either! That’s exactly why my approach is relaxed, friendly and completely natural. I’m not interested in making you stand in awkward poses or asking you to be someone you’re not. I want you to feel comfortable, enjoy every moment and, most importantly, be yourselves. It’s the genuine laughter, the little glances, the happy tears, the unexpected moments and the wonderful personalities that make every couple’s story so special. Those are the memories I love to capture. And a little bit about me… At heart, I’m a good old-fashioned country girl who loves the outdoors, meeting people and having a good laugh — quite often at my own expense! 
I believe that building a genuine connection with my couples is just as important as the photographs themselves. After all, I’ll be sharing one of the most important days of your lives, so I want you to feel like you’ve got a friendly, familiar face alongside you, rather than just someone pointing a camera.
